Demo documents an increasingly prevalent shift in contemporary subjectivity, one in which the individual's profession permits him to exclusively organize himself towards what will be, rather than what is or what was. The video asks, how does the 21st century technologist occupy the gap between present reality and the desired future? And what role does belief, projection, science fiction, and public imagination play in sustaining activity within a chaotic and unfixed modernity?
